If your logo appears blurry or your images are showing up sideways or upside down, don’t worry, there are a few simple fixes you can try. This guide walks you through the steps to correct these issues and get your site looking sharp and professional
Image & Logo Roadblocks
There are a few reasons your logo or images might appear blurry or rotated on your website. Some of the most common include using low-resolution files, uploading images straight from a phone or camera without adjusting orientation, or saving files in overly compressed formats.
We’ll walk through the most common issues and how to fix each one.
My image looks blurry
- If your images look blurry, check the resolution of the image file on your computer.
- Make sure the image is at least 1500 pixels wide by 784 pixels high, as anything smaller may appear pixelated when scaled.
- Avoid uploading images that have been overly compressed. If possible, re-save the image in a higher quality file type (like PNG or a high-resolution JPEG).
- Upload the new image to your Clinic Sites website, and discard the blurry version.
My logo looks blurry
- Find your logo file on your computer.
- Ensure it is a high-resolution PNG file. Logos should be sharp and designed for digital use. Low-resolution or small files will appear fuzzy on high-density displays.
- Make sure the logo is at least 600 pixels wide. This helps your logo display clearly across all devices while keeping the file size small enough to maintain fast page loading.
- If you have access to the original logo design file from your designer, export it again at a higher resolution.
- Upload the updated logo in the Logo section of your Admin settings.
My image shows up sideways or upside down
- Open the image on your computer.
- Rotate the image 360° (a full rotation), even if it looks correct. If you're not sure how to rotate your image, you can use a free online picture editing platform like ILoveImg to rotate your photo.
- Save the file again, as this resets hidden orientation data.
- Upload the newly saved image back to your Clinic Sites website.
