Customer Support

Updated September 25th, 2025

Images add visual warmth and personality to your clinic’s website. When chosen thoughtfully, they can boost patient trust and support your clinic's overall brand. Effective imagery can also improve SEO and increase appointment bookings by creating a professional first impression.

This guide walks you through how to choose professional images on your Clinic Sites website, while highlighting some of our favourite royalty-free resources.

Before you start

Make sure you have Clinic Sites Admin access so you can upload and update photos. It’s also helpful to know where your image files are saved on your computer, such as in your Downloads or Pictures folder.

Use High-Quality, Professional Images

High-resolution images help your site look professional. Blurry or poorly cropped photos can make a site feel less trustworthy. If you don’t have your own photo collection yet, Clinic Sites supports images from top-quality platforms like Pexels or Unsplash.

We recommend using professional headshots for team bios and service-related visuals to enhance discipline pages.

Blend Real Photos with Stock Images

Using a mix of real clinic images and high-quality stock visuals helps create authenticity without needing a full photoshoot right away. You can include photos of your clinic space, team, or treatment setup, and use clean stock images to support pages where you don’t have personal content just yet. This approach helps you build trust while maintaining a consistent, professional style.

Choose Images That Support Booking

Every image on your site should have a purpose. Select visuals that reinforce patient confidence and encourage them to book with your clinic. For example, use calm, welcoming photos on your homepage or patient-facing pages, and avoid images that feel overly staged or irrelevant to your services.

Avoid Copyright Issues

Not all images on the internet are free to use. Always source your visuals from trusted, royalty-free image libraries that allow for commercial use. These libraries will clearly indicate whether attribution is required, which makes it easy to stay compliant. Before uploading any photo to your Clinic Sites website, make sure to double-check that it’s either your own or properly licensed for website use.

Here are a few royalty-free stock image libraries we recommend for Clinic Sites:

  • Canva
A robust library of stock images with a great selection of searchable photos. If you subscribe to Canva Pro (even just for one month), you get unlimited downloads and full access to their premium library.

  • Adobe Stock Photos
A professional-grade image source with royalty-free options. They often advertise 10 free images with their free trial, which is great for getting started.

  • Pexels
One of the most popular platforms for free stock photography. Pexels offers a diverse collection of high-quality, searchable images ideal for clinic websites.

  • Unsplash
Free, high-resolution, miscellaneous photos. New photos are added to their site every 10 days, over a wide range of categories.

  • PikWizard
A user-friendly site offering free stock images, with a strong focus on professional photos of people.

  • JayMantri.com
An artsy and unique collection of free images. Great if you're looking for something a little different or creatively styled.

  • Pixabay
A well-known resource for free, high-quality images. The site is fully searchable and includes everything from illustrations to photography.
