Dropdown menus are a helpful way to organize your navigation bar, allowing you to group related pages under a single menu item. This keeps your site easy to explore and helps patients quickly find what they’re looking for without being overwhelmed by too many links.
How to Create a Dropdown Menu
- You'll want to have created the pages you want to include in your dropdown. To create a new page, take a look at our guide on How to Create a New Page.
- To get started, click Admin > Menus in the top right corner.
- Select Main from Site Menus.
- Hover over the page you wish to add a submenu to.
- Click the circle with the three dots
on the right-hand side and then click Add Link.
- In the Label box, you'll be adding the public-facing name of the item you wish to add to your dropdown menu.
- Next, click the dropdown next to Link to, click Pages, and select the page you want to link to the dropdown menu.
- Hit the Save Link button to save your progress.
- If your dropdown menu contains more than one page, you can rearrange the order by clicking the Re-order button next to the parent page. Then use the reorder button
to drag the pages into the correct order. When you're happy with those changes, click the Done Re-ordering button.
You're all set to go! Now, when a client looks at your navigation menu, they'll see the new dropdown menu you've just added. To create more dropdown menu items on other navigation menu items, simply repeat the process.
