If your text displays in the wrong font, size, or carries over hidden formatting when you paste it into Clinic Sites, there's a simple fix. This guide walks you through easy fixes to make pasted content look clean and on-brand.
Text Formatting Roadblocks
There are a few common reasons why copying from a word processor, like Microsoft Word, can disrupt your site’s text formatting. Here’s how to fix them:
Formatting Carries Over When Pasting
- Navigate to the page where you wish to make changes.
- Click the Pencil Icon
to start making content changes on any block.
- Scroll until you reach the Body content section.
- Click the Paste as text button
- The Paste as text button will remain highlighted. Content will now be pasted as plain text until you toggle this option off.
- Click the Update Block element button to save your changes.
Text Still Looks Wrong After Using the Editor’s Paste Option (PC Users)
- If formatting issues persist, PC Users can copy the content from Word.
- Paste it into the Notepad program, as this converts all text to plain, unformatted text.
- Copy the text from Notepad, paste it into the Clinic Sites text editor, and click Update Block element.
Text Still Looks Wrong After Using the Editor’s Paste Option (Mac Users)
- If formatting issues persist, Mac Users can copy the content from Word.
- Paste into the TextEdit program.
- Go to the Format menu in TextEdit, click Make Plain Text, then copy the text again.
- Paste the text into the Clinic Sites text editor and click Update Block element.
