How to edit your logo and favicon

Learn how to effectively edit and update your logo and favicon for a fresh new look.

Your logo and favicon are key to creating a consistent brand experience for your patients as they interact with your clinic. Your logo is your clinic’s main visual identifier, and it's usually displayed in your header to represent your brand. Your favicon is a branded icon that appears in browser tabs, bookmarks, and search results. This guide will walk you through how to update your logo and favicon, whether you have a Jane integration or not.

Before you start

You'll want to make sure you have admin access to your Clinic Sites website to start making these changes. If you’re using Jane, you'll want to make sure you have access to your Clinic's Branding section in your Jane account. 


How to Update Your Logo for Jane users

As your Clinic Sites website is connected to Jane, your logo is automatically synced from your Jane account. This means that updating your logo in Jane will also update it on your website. In this step-by-step walk-through, you’ll learn how to update your logo through Jane, how to manually sync it faster, and how to turn off syncing if you'd prefer to use a different logo on your website.

  1. Log in to your Jane account and head to Settings.
  2. In your Settings area, click on Branding.
  3. Under Logos & Graphics, upload your clinic's Logo. 
  4. Once you've uploaded your logo in Jane, your logo will automatically update on your Clinic Sites website within 24 hours. 
  5. If you want your logo to sync over to your website immediately, click the Jane Sync button in the top blue bar on your Clinic Sites website. 

If you want to use a different logo on your website than the one in Jane, you'll want to turn off your Jane Theme sync. Follow these steps to turn off syncing:

  1. Click Admin > Settings in the top right corner of your Clinic Sites website.
  2. Click on Jane Integration in the left sidebar.
  3. Uncheck the box next to Synchronize Theme.
  4. Click Save Settings to save your progress. Now you'll be able to upload a custom logo manually.




How to Update Your Logo for non-Jane users (or custom logo uploads)

If you're not using Jane, your logo won't sync automatically, so you'll need to manually upload it directly through your Clinic Sites dashboard. 

  1. Log in to your Clinic Sites website and click Admin > Design in the top right corner.
  2. Click Logo on the left-hand menu. 
  3. Under Logo, click Choose File to upload your logo. 
  4. (Optional) If you have a logo in alternative colors, you can upload an alternative logo under Logo Alternative. You will then see it as an option to use in Admin > Design > Main Menu
  5. Click the Save Logo and Favicon button to upload your logo. 




How to Update Your Favicon

Your favicon is the small icon that appears in browser tabs and bookmarks. 

  1. Log in to your Clinic Sites website and click Admin > Design in the top right corner.
  2. Click Logo on the left-hand menu. 
  3. Under Logo, scroll down till you reach the Favicon section. 
  4. Click the Choose File button and upload an image or logo that is 64 × 64 pixels in size.
  5. Click the Save Logo and Favicon button to save your progress. 




Now, you're all set! Great work keeping your branding consistent and up to date. Your logo and favicon are now live on your site, giving your clinic a fresh and professional look.

Jane does not sync your favicon—this is uploaded manually and will stay static unless changed on Clinic Sites.
