How to edit a block

Learn how to easily edit a block within your Clinic Sites website.

Now that you've added a block to your page, you may want to edit the block's text content. This guide walks you through how to edit the text in any block within your Clinic Sites website.

Text changes made to a block must be saved by clicking the Save Block button.


How to edit a block

This step-by-step walkthrough will show you how to open a block's text editor, make edits to its content, and save your changes so they appear on your website.

  1. Navigate to the page that contains the block you want to edit.
  2. Scroll to the block and click the Pencil Icon. Each content area will have a floating tag, letting you know exactly what you're editing (eg. edit heading, edit element, edit content).
  3. Use the text editor to edit your text content. In this area, you'll be able to update your headings and body text, adjust layout and spacing, add links and customize buttons.
  4. Once you're happy with the updates, scroll to the bottom and click Update Block Element to save your progress. 



You’ve successfully edited a block on your website! Updating your content keeps your site fresh and engaging for patients, great work keeping your information current.

Each content block is unique, so editing options may vary depending on the block type (text media, testimonial, contact form, etc.).
