Buttons are one of the most effective ways to guide potential patients to take action, whether it’s booking an appointment, meeting your team, or learning more about your services. This guide walks you through how to add and link buttons across your site, including in your main navigation and content blocks.

Before you start

Think of your button as a “call to action.” Before you begin, decide where you want the button to take your patient. This could be a booking page, a contact form, or a specific internal page.

Your navigation menu button (often labeled Book Now or Schedule an Appointment) is a key place to link patients to your online booking system.

  1. Click Admin in the top right corner of your website.
  2. Click Menus from the dropdown.
  3. Scroll down to the Book Now menu item, which will usually be the last menu item.
  4. Hover over it and click the circle with the three dots , then click Edit.
  5. Scroll to the Link To section.
  6. To use a custom URL (like a Jane booking link), paste it into the Link To field.
  7. To link to a page on your site, use the Link To dropdown and select the page you wish to link.
  8. Click Save Link to save your changes.

You can also add buttons to any content block, such as a Text Media or Image Links block.

  1. Navigate to the page and block where you want to add buttons.
  2. Click the pencil icon on that block to edit it.
  3. Scroll down to find the Button One Text and Button One Link fields.
  4. Add your button label (e.g., Book Now), and paste in a custom URL or use the Pages dropdown to link to an internal page.
  5. Repeat the above steps for Button Two Text and Button Two Link, if applicable.
  6. Click the Update Block element button when you're happy with your changes.
  7. To change the appearance of your buttons, click the Edit Block button , select the Buttons option , and update the colors and size of your buttons.

Nice work! You’ve added functional buttons to your site that help guide patients to take action. Well-placed, clearly labeled buttons can make a huge difference in how patients interact with your website's content.

Note

Adding buttons in prominent places helps drive conversions and improve user flow. Make sure your button text is clear and your link destination matches the action you're asking patients to take.
