How to Edit Your Menu: Main/Navigation Menu

Learn how to change your website's main/navigation menu with editing tips and tricks.

Your website’s main menu helps patients move through your site and find the most important pages, like your Services, Contact, or About page. Keeping your menu updated ensures patients always land where they need to go. This guide walks you through how to add, remove, reorder, or edit links in your main (navigation) menu.

Delete

Before you start

You'll need to have Admin access to make changes to your main/navigation menu.


How to Add a New Menu Item

You can update your main/navigation menu by adding a link shown in your site’s header. The steps below walk you through how to add a new menu item to your main/navigation menu.

  1. In the top right corner of your screen, click Admin, then click Menus in the dropdown menu.
  2. Under Site Menus, click Main
  3. Click the Add Link button. 
  4. Under Label, type the title of the page you want to appear in your menu.
  5. Next, under Link To, select the page on your website you want this item to link to. 
  6. Click Save Link when you're happy with the changes you've made. 

How to Reorder a Menu Item

You can reorder your main/navigation menu by moving a menu item up or down. Whatever item is the last on the chronological list will be placed on the button icon. 

  1. In the top right corner of your screen, click Admin, then click Menus in the dropdown menu.
  2. Under Site Menus, click Main
  3. Next, click and drag the six-dot grid icon to the left of a menu item to reorder the menu item. 
  4. Move it to the desired position in the list, and its position will be saved.
  5. Refresh your webpage to see what the menu item looks like. 

How to Edit a Menu Item

You can change the label or destination link of any existing menu item without having to delete and re-add it.

  1. In the top right corner of your screen, click Admin, then click Menus in the dropdown menu.
  2. Under Site Menus, click Main
  3. Hover over the item you want to change.
  4. Click the circle with three horizontal dots on the right. 
  5. To edit the menu item, click Edit. 
  6. From here, you can update the Title or Link.
  7. Click the Save Link button when you're happy with the changes you've made. 

How to Delete a Menu Item

You can remove a menu item if it’s no longer relevant or needed in your site’s navigation.

  1. In the top right corner of your screen, click Admin, then click Menus in the dropdown menu.
  2. Under Site Menus, click Main
  3. To delete the menu item, click Delete. 





You're all set to go! Your navigation menu now reflects the flow you want visitors to follow. Whether you added, removed, or reordered items, you've made your site easier to explore.

The last item in your menu will appear as a button in your site’s header. We recommend linking this to your booking page to help drive more appointments.
